Waitrose supports Wandsworth Mind

We are delighted to announce that our local Waitrose store in Wandsworth have chosen us to be a beneficiary of the Waitrose Community Matters scheme.

Each trading month stores are given £1000 to divide between three local organisations which are nominated by customers, with the final decision made by Waitrose partner voice forums.

Under the scheme customers are offered a token every time they shop. These can then be deposited into one of three perspex tubes according to which charity or voluntary organisation they wish to support. At the end of the month the tokens for each organisation are weighed and the funds distributed according to the proportion of support each beneficiary receives.

As a local charity we cannot stress how important it is to us to have the support of local businesses and other organisations in Wandsworth. Our service users rely on our support, we in turn are now relying on the generous funding from donors in order to continue operating and providing key facilities and resources to our service users in the day centre.

We'd like to say a big thank you to Waitrose in Wandsworth for helping us to continue providing support for people with mental health issues in the borough.
