Supported Housing Services

Wandsworth Mind has a long established supported housing service providing low support to people with long term and enduring mental health problems, in partnership with a variety of housing associations.

Although our tenants are deemed as having low support needs, most of our client's/tenant's needs change when they move into our houses, from low to medium or high support needs. We strive to work with each individual's needs, ensuring that they get the support they need as appropriate.

We operate on a referral system, where referrals come from the CMHT's or other secondary mental health agencies.

Wandsworth Mind's Supported Housing Service office is based at The Foresters. It is administered and managed from the Foresters by the Housing Manager and the Supported Housing Officers. We have five houses offering shared accommodation, and twenty self contained flats with support coming from both Housing Manager, and the Supported Housing Officers.

We work very closely with mental health teams and other secondary mental health agencies. We intend to work co-operatively with all support agencies to support our tenants.

Our main source of funding comes from Wandsworth Supporting People

Our goal is to promote independence with our tenants, empower them to take control of their lives with ongoing support tailored to meet each individual's needs in line with legislation and supporting peoples' guidelines.
